Plant "USKS-31" for electric arc welding in an inert environment

Description

Plant for electric arc welding in an inert environment "USKS-31"

Detailed information PDF
The "USKS-31" unit is designed for electric arc welding of seams of complex geometric shapes (simultaneous interpolation along 5 axes) of chemically active metals and alloys based on them in an inert environment.
The process of electric arc welding of products is carried out in a working chamber equipped with a product manipulator (ensures fastening, tilting and rotation of the product) and a welding head manipulator (ensures linear movement along three axes and tilting of the head).
The "USKS-31" unit consists of the following main units and mechanisms:
- Vacuum chamber;
- Machine complex;
- Welding head;
- Sliding cover;
- Vacuum system;
- Pneumatic system;
- Water cooling system;
- Inert gas argon (Ar) filling system;
- Video surveillance system;
- Control system;
- TETRIX 451, TETRIX 351 power supply;
- Onyx gas analyzer;
- Svet gas analyzer;
- Gas and electrical wiring;
- Manual water-cooled welding torches.
1. Vacuum chamber
The vacuum chamber is a sealed box welded from stainless steel, installed on two supports. On the front wall of the chamber there are six glove inputs, three viewing windows. On the side wall opposite the sliding cover there are two additional viewing windows.

2. Sliding cover.
The sliding cover is made of stainless steel. Vacuum seals are installed along the perimeter on the processed surface in places where they adjoin the chamber flange. Two hinged brackets are installed on the top of the cover for fastening it to the stand and two plates are installed below for supporting the cover on the stand.

3. Machine complex.
The machine complex provides automatic welding of metal structures with a welding head with a non-consumable electrode with filler wire, butt welds along a closed and open contour, as well as curved welds of complex spatial shape. The machine complex consists of the following units:
- Platform - this is the basis of the machine complex, all units related to the complex are fixed on it,
- Transverse carriage - serves to deliver the welded part closer to the manual inputs.
- The column serves to move the crossbar from the head along the chamber axis.
- The crossbar serves to move the welding head in height. The movement of the crossbar serves to move the welding head across the chamber axis.

4. Rail track.
The rail track consists of 2 sections connected to each other and serves to install and move the sliding cover along the guides. One section is attached to the supports and foundation, and the other to the section and foundation.

5. Welding head.
The welding head is the executive body of the unit.

6. Gas cooling system.
The gas cooling system includes a water-cooled branch pipe, a filter, a gas heat exchanger and a vacuum fan.

7. Service platform.
The service platform is designed to provide access to the main units of the unit during its operation and maintenance.

8. Water cooling system.
The water cooling system of the unit, autonomously closed from the industrial cooler, is designed to cool the vacuum pumps, traps, and the welding head through a pressure-drain manifold equipped with temperature sensors, water flow sensors and a pressure sensor.

9. Pneumatic system
The pneumatic system is designed to supply compressed air to the pneumatic cylinders, as well as to the valves and gates of the vacuum system of the unit.
The vacuum system is controlled by pneumatic distributors located on the pneumatic cylinders of the vacuum valves. The pressure and release of the sliding chamber cover are also regulated by a pneumatic distributor.

12. Operator's console.
The unit is controlled from the front panel of the PC located on the operator's console, the machine complex is controlled from the front panel of the CNC PC located on the CNC operator's console.
The unit has two control modes: manual welding and automated welding.

13. Remote control.
The work process is controlled by a foot pedal or from the welder's console.

14. Electrical wiring.
The external electrical wiring is designed to supply power circuits to the power source, control cabinet, to the electric motor of the sliding chamber cover, to the elements of the vacuum and pneumatic systems, to supply control circuits to consoles, microswitches and elements of the water cooling and lighting system.
Shielded cables, protective boxes and cable channels are used for electrical wiring.

15. Vacuum system.
The vacuum system is designed to obtain a vacuum in the chamber and consists of 3 lines: a forevacuum line and 2 high-vacuum lines.
The vacuum system is controlled from an autonomous vacuum control cabinet, both in automatic and manual modes.

16. Intake ramp.
The intake ramp is designed to inject argon into the chamber and create excess pressure.
The ramp includes three reducers and an excess pressure gauge. The pressure is controlled by a wide-range vacuum gauge and the chamber is cut off from the ramp by a high-vacuum valve.
